In Malaysia, private companies can be exempt from audits if they meet specific criteria related to their annual revenue, total assets, and number of employees. These criteria, revised in 2024, require companies to fulfil certain conditions to qualify for audit exemption. Additionally, dormant companies and those meeting certain threshold criteria can also be exempt.
